On November 10, 2020, the North Carolina Early Childhood Foundation partnered with the North Carolina Restaurant Association to present a panel discussion about how family-friendly workplace practices help employers in the hospitality industry reopen faster and more strategically, bring employees back earlier and more fully and create a culture of ongoing safety for workers and families.
Lynn Minges, President and CEO of the NC Restaurant and Lodging Association, moderates the panel featuring:
- Jim Needell of Performentor, with 25 years of experience in hospitality, both in operations and HR. Jim has a BS in management and marketing followed by a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Occupational Studies.
- Steve Wuench, co-owner of East Cut Sandwich Bar in Durham. Open for two years, East Cut has been working to build a family-friendly workplace.
- Emily Swartzlander, Chief Strategist for Family Forward NC.
