Family Forward NC® is welcoming three communities to Collaborative Learning Lab II: Catawba County, Durham County, and Rockingham County.
Through the Lab, community leaders will develop strategies to expand family-friendly workplaces and increase Family Forward NC® employer certifications in their communities. Participants will work toward one of two goals: creating an action plan to promote family-friendly workplaces and employer certification, or developing a plan to launch a Family Forward NC® Certified Community campaign.
Family Forward NC® Community Certification offers coalitions, partnerships, and alliances a framework for building a stronger family-friendly business base. Communities can include a municipality, a regional partnership, or an entire county.
By bringing nonprofits, employers, and community leaders together, the program helps communities support children and families while strengthening local economies through employee recruitment, retention, and productivity.
