RALEIGH — Jessica Lowery Clark, the executive director of Robeson County Partnership for Children, recently was appointed to the Family Forward North Carolina Advisory Council.
Family Forward NC is a business initiative to improve children’s health and well-being and keep North Carolina’s businesses competitive. The initiative works to improve workplace productivity, recruitment and retention, support children’s healthy development, and grow a strong economy.
As a member of the council, Clark will assist in gathering data for a guide to family-friendly workplaces. The guide will help to encourage businesses to implement policies such as paid parental leave, flexible scheduling, and accommodations for pregnant workers.
Clark is joined by 10 other members.
“We are grateful to have such a powerhouse group of leaders guiding this work,” said Tracy Zimmerman, NCECF executive director.
