Since January 2024, the number of Family Forward NC Certified Employers has doubled, highlighting the growth and value that both employers and employees place on family-friendly benefits.
Certified employers have met an impressive set of standards outlined by NCECF’s Family Forward NC initiative. These employers implement a range of policies and practices that support the health and well-being of North Carolina’s children and families, from flexible scheduling to paid parental leave policies.

The new cohort of certified employers brings the total number of Family Forward NC Certified Employers to 73, representing more than 12,800 employees. From Hendersonville to Jacksonville, certified employers range in size from as few as five employees, to more than 3,700. They represent industries such as: nonprofits, manufacturing, education, local government, financial institutions, economic development, professional services, construction, health, media, and private foundations.
